Achievement gaps are a hot topic in Minnesota. These conversations, however, are often acontextual and lack the most important question you can ever ask, which is why. In this presentation, we will discuss some of the reasons that achievement disparities exist and what is being done to mitigate them.

Join us for a conversation with Markus Flynn, executive director of Black Men Teach, covering a range of topics:

  • Learn about achievement gaps and disparities in K-12 education.
  • Learn how to support black students in K-12 and help advance racial equity.
  • Participate in this interactive event.

Event sponsored by: Multicultural, American Indian, and Retention Services Department; Dean of Students; and the Metro State Equity and Anti-Racism Programming planning team. Contact BernaDette Suwareh or call 651.793.1541 regarding this event.
