Commencement Summer 2020

Metropolitan State University understands the important role that the commencement ceremony plays in marking our students’ successful journey toward their degree.

The Summer 2020 Commencement accommodates the previously scheduled April commencement activities that are canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students who are registered for spring commencement will not need to take any actions to RSVP. The change in date will also allow us to accommodate summer graduates who may wish to participate in August rather than December.

There will be two ceremonies. The first will include undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Management, College of Liberal Arts, College of Sciences, and School of Urban Education.

The second ceremony will include undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Community Studies and Public Affairs, College of Individualized Studies, and College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Students who planned to participate in the April ceremony are being notified by Student Life and Leadership Development staff, who will assist them with the logistics of this change in date.
