Join us for the works of five highly skilled and diverse book artists featured in this group exhibit at Metro State University’s Gordon Parks Gallery.

Exhibiting artists include: Marvel Grégoire, Minneapolis; Karen C. Kinoshita, Minneapolis; Raven R. Miller, Minneapolis; Bridget O’Malley, Minneapolis; and C.B. Sherlock, Minneapolis.

As gallery director, Erica Rasmussen said, “This is an exciting collection of works that push the parameters of what one might qualify as books. Some of the objects on view resemble traditional books; with pages, bindings, and spines. Similarly, many of the objects contain words or pictures, supporting a storyline or conceptual framework. But more often, the books in this exhibition deviate from the norm in surprising and engaging ways. It is their ephemeral and expressive qualities that I find most engaging.”

The opening reception is 5–7:30 p.m., Thursday, January 19.

Gallery hours are 1–7 p.m., Monday to Thursday, January 23–February 23.
