Vibrance: A Celebration of the HMong Green Dialect

Workshop will be from 5–6 p.m.
Panel discussion will be from 6–8 p.m. (Saint Paul campus, Student Center 101)
This event is co-hosted by Tou SaiKo Lee, Community Faculty, Writing, Literature, and Language; and Katherine Tang, Hmong Student Organization.
Please join us to celebrate the vibrant Green HMong dialect. This event aims to engage influential speakers and artists through meaningful discussions and interactive experiences. Our event will feature a panel discussion exploring the distinctive features, enduring nature, and global significance of the Green HMong dialect. Leah Her will facilitate a presentation on speaking the Green dialect and its history from a global perspective. Pang Her Vang will lead an interactive Hmong poetry chanting activity, teaching participants the basics of kwv txhiaj / lug txaj. We will also have a live demonstration of the qeej instrument's movements. This is an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Green HMong dialect!
