Metropolitan State University invites students to attend Student Success Day workshops and learn how to make the most out of your academic journey. This event's workshops will help you be successful in the classroom, as well as help you plan for your educational, personal and career goals.

Student Success Day will feature numerous speakers from various university departments, including:

  • Gateway Student Services
  • Career Services
  • The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE)
  • The Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship (ICES)
  • Faculty members

The event will also feature Keynote Speaker Dr. Jay Williams. Williams is currently Minneapolis Community and Technical College's (MCTC) chief diversity officer. According to MCTC, he has "led a cross-functional group in developing and implementing MCTC's Equity and Inclusion Plan to guide the College's efforts to embed equity consciousness into its practices, procedures, policies and planning."
