Jill Beaulieu-Wilkie, academic advisor, College of Health, Community and Professional Studies, is the 2016 recipient of the Diversity Leadership Award. The Diversity Council presented the award to Beaulieu-Wilkie at the annual Employee Awards event on April 14.
The honor is given to an employee that respects and values diversity, addresses Metropolitan State’s vision of an anti-racist learning community, promotes cross-cultural awareness within the institution’s culture and raises awareness and cultivates an environment where oppressive practices against any group are not tolerated.
Beaulieu-Wilkie has demonstrated her commitment to these principles through her work as an academic advisor and as chair of the Anti-Racism Leadership Team. She is recognized for her leadership, support and mentorship of students and colleagues on a daily basis.
