April 21-22: Qhia Dab Neeg Film Festival celebrates Hmong storytelling

The Qhia Dab Neeg Film Festival is coming to Metropolitan State on April 21 and 22. This film festival highlights Hmong filmmakers and films in collaboration with Hmong individuals. Attendees have the opportunity to meet the filmmakers and see their latest work.

Festival events are in Founders Hall, Saint Paul Campus, at the following times:

  • Thursday, April 21
    6 p.m. Doors open
    6:30 p.m. Welcome
    7:30 p.m. Film screening
    9 p.m. Closing/Q and A
  • Friday, April 22
    6 p.m. Doors open; photo exhibit
    7 p.m. Film screening
    8:30 p.m. End of screening; filmmaker Q and A
    9 p.m. Award ceremony in the Great Hall
