Dec. 13: Metropolitan State University fall commencement

Metropolitan State University celebrates its 99th commencement exercises Tuesday, Dec. 13. Approximately 1,278 students are receiving bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees with 722 expected to participate in the fall ceremony.

The ceremony is in the Roy Wilkins Auditorium at Saint Paul RiverCentre. All guests must have a ticket. The student speaker is Allison Cole, Saint Paul, College of Management outstanding student.

Other commencement participants include: Metropolitan State President Virginia “Ginny” Arthur, J.D.; Carol Borman Young, interim provost for Academic Affairs;
Basil Ajuo, trustee, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees; Tene Wells, president of the Metropolitan State University Alumni Board; August Hoffman, president of the Inter-faculty Organization; and Dhibo Hussein, Student Senate president.
