Feb. 12: National Coalition Building Institute trainer workshop

The Metropolitan State chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), Provost’s office and the office of Equity, Opportunity and Diversity host a one day trainer workshop focusing on prejudice reduction. The workshop is 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12 in Room 101, Student Center, Saint Paul Campus.

For over 20 years, NCBI has offered timely and effective programs to develop and strengthen leadership for a diverse society. Join a team of leaders at Metropolitan State trained by NCBI who want to share NCBI principles and techniques aimed at actively combating racism and all other forms of prejudice and discrimination.

Persons attending this workshop will partially satisfy the requirements to become an NCBI trainer. Full certification will be available through a three-day workshop planned for later this year.

To register email eo.diverstiy@metrostate.edu and include your email, department or college, and phone number. The registration deadline is Thursday, Feb. 11. View the event flyer here.
