Film Space seeks volunteers

Film Space is a state of the art digital cinema theater on the Saint Paul Campus of Metropolitan State University. The theater is accessible and open for community use including nonprofit organizations, film festivals, individual filmmakers, community/neighborhood groups, arts organizations, academics, and others. Those in charge of Film Space are committed to bring new films and filmmakers to Saint Paul and to engage audiences.

Film Space hosts a growing number of film festivals throughout the year, such as the Qhia Dab Neeg Film Festival, the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, and others.

Student volunteers are sought to help run the projection booth and provide guest services during film festivals.  This experience will provide marketable skills, a great resume item, networking opportunities and valuable opportunities for  community engagement. Learn to manage and operate a digital cinema film theater and enjoy movies at the same time.  Training is provided.

About four to six evenings of festival work spread over the length of a semester will be an average work load.  Volunteer opportunities are available now.

Film Space is located in the Founders Hall Auditorium, Saint Paul Campus, 700 East Seventh Street, St. Paul.
