March 16: The Great Paper Airplane Contest 2018

Fold your best paper airplane and launch it off of the Great Hall balcony in the Great Paper Airplane Contest. The event is noon to 12:45 p.m., Friday, March 16, New Main, Great Hall, Saint Paul Campus.

The competition will be judged in the categories of distance and accuracy.

  • Participants should bring six folded planes for six throws. Print your name on each plane.
  • Planes must be folded from standard 8.5″x11″ 20-pound copier paper. No cuts, tears, hole punches, or add-ons such as tape, paperclips, etc.

Competition is open to anyone affiliated with Metropolitan State including students, faculty, staff, administration and family members.

Gift cards to the university bookstore will be awarded to the top three individual finishers in each category: First place $25, second place $15, and third place $10.
