March 28: “Through the Ukrainian Looking-glass"

Visiting Fulbright Scholar Dr. Maryna Babenko will speak on “Through the Ukrainian Looking-glass: People, Culture, Traditions, History. Ways of overcrossing Ukrainian and American Culture and Traditions,”  from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, at EcoLab (Lib302), Metropolitan State University, Saint Paul Campus.

The talk is open to the public and will be attended by students in the class, History 104 – World History II: The Modern World. Refreshments will be provided.

Babenko is an assistant professor of Education at H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University in Ukraine. She is currently a visiting Fulbright Scholar at Virginia Commonwealth University (School of Education). Babenko is visiting the Twin Cities, March 27-30, and will also speak at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Hamline University, with a possible St. Paul College engagement.
