Is simply writing checks to your favorite charities sufficient? Or would you like to set longer-term priorities for your giving? Join a discussion about retirement savings and estate planning with Robert W. Dietz, associate director at the Alliance Bernstein L.P. Wealth Planning and Analysis Group.

Estate Planning 101 is a free educational session sponsored by the Metropolitan State University Foundation where you will learn how goal-based, quantitative planning can be used to help meet personal and philanthropic goals.

Dietz will lead an informative discussion on strategies for managing the financial side of your charitable activities to help you reduce estate and income taxes while maximizing charitable and personal wealth, and use trusts to achieve legacy goals.

This session is 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 5, Student Center Room 101, Saint Paul Campus. RSVP to by Thursday, April 28. Light refreshments will be available.
