Metropolitan State implements new e-mail filter

On Feb. 5 Metropolitan State implemented the spam filtering services of Securence to reduce the number of unwanted and malicious e-mails delivered to the university. As of this morning, this service has interrupted delivery of: Clean (321,593); Spam (91,456); Phishing (1,991); and Viruses (13).

This service also sends a daily e-mail report to all users providing the ability to release an email marked as spam or submit a false positive report. There is no need to log in to another system or service—it is as simple as one click from the daily email report to release a questionable email. For more information on using this service check out this helpful diagram.
