Beginning March 1, students are invited to complete a national survey about their experiences at Metropolitan State. The online survey measures what is important to students and how satisfied they are with the university’s performance. Participants will have the opportunity to voice their opinions and have a chance to win one of 100 $20 Amazon gift cards.

Survey results are used throughout the university to make changes in response to student concerns. Past improvements include extending office hours; placing Gateway associates at Minneapolis, Midway and Brooklyn Park; developing a university communication plan to automate key messages to students; and training Gateway associates in the financial aid process.

The university is also planning a series of in-person listening sessions with students. During the hour-long sessions, a third-party professional facilitator guides students through a series of questions and then summarizes feedback for the university. All participants receive a $20 Amazon gift card.

Students will receive e-mails with information about taking the survey and participating in the listening sessions next week.
