Paint a neighborhood mural with Urban Roots

Metropolitan State University’s longtime community engagement partner, Urban Roots, will paint and install a mural at the Phoenix Market, adjacent to the first of its many community garden plots.

Mural designers are Urban Roots interns and are are very excited to be at the stage of installing this work of public art.

Metropolitan State students and employees are invited to join Urban Roots staff at these scheduled two-hour painting sessions:

• 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, May 7 at Phoenix Market, 685 3rd St. E;

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at Indigenous Roots, 788 7th St. E.

• 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Phoenix Market, 685 3rd St. E.
