Sept. 30: Memorial tree planting to honor former Associate Provost Doug Knowlton

Doug Knowlton

To honor the memory and work of Metropolitan State’s valued colleague, Associate Provost Doug Knowlton, a memorial tree planting celebration is planned.

The gathering will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 at the labyrinth site, 640 7th St. E., next to the Library and Learning Center, Saint Paul Campus (view on map).

All are invited. Any who wish to do so may help with the planting and/or share brief remembrances.

Special thanks to Professor August Hoffman, who has arranged for the event. The memorial tree, a Parker Pear, is a variety that is both attractive and able to thrive in urban settings.
