University to host open forums on election reflection

For those who may be troubled, hurt and in fear about how the recent election may affect them, their family and community, Metropolitan State will host a series of open forums to listen and support each other. Metropolitan State is committed to an anti-racist learning community. Join us to learn, share, and support one another at our upcoming open forums.

Each forum will be hosted from 4:30-5:45pm:

·         Tuesday, Nov. 15, St. Paul Campus, FH L118
·         Wednesday, Nov. 16, Minneapolis Campus, MEC M2400
·         Monday, Nov. 21, Midway Campus, Room E
·         Tuesday, Nov. 22, Brooklyn Park Campus, LECJEC 213

As President Ginny Arthur wrote in her Nov. 10 message to the university, “We are committed to solidarity with our urban communities, to being open and accessible, to celebrating the treasure of our diversity, and to being a fully inclusive, explicitly anti-racist, learning community. We stand for an open, respectful climate.”

The forums are open to the public.
