The AmeriCorps Community Technology Empowerment Project (CTEP) bridges the "digital divide" for new immigrants and low-income communities in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul area. The Metropolitan State University library was recently selected as a partner site for the CTEP.

Apply now for an opportunity to teach digital and computer literacy skills to students and community users of our library starting in September 2018. Or choose from other placement sites at libraries, museums and community centers throughout Saint Paul.

• Members teach technology literacy skills to program participants in order to help them obtain employment, and improve their civic and social opportunities.
• Members serve full time over the course of a year starting early September in community technology centers located within nonprofit organizations, museums and libraries.
• Members receive a living stipend (~$1000/month), a health care option, and a $5,920 educational award upon completion.
• Full-time schedules are flexible and site-dependent, but you would need to be available on the first and third Fridays of every month to participate in AmeriCorps professional development trainings with other AmeriCorps members.
