Mamava pods provide private, clean and comfortable nursing stations on campus
Metropolitan State University Healthcare Services is proud to announce the arrival of the Mamava Lactation Pods. The pods are located on the Saint Paul campus on the first floor of the Student Center and in the commons area at the Midway Campus.
Mamava is a business dedicated to changing the culture around breastfeeding by giving women clean and private facilities to use a breast pump or nurse an infant. The pods are used in conjunction with the Mamava app which can be downloaded via the Adroid or Apple store. Women can use the app to find Mamava stations on campus and at other public places, as well. The pods will also allow the campus community to access additional space for lactation needs.
In addition to the pods, the standard lactation rooms on the Saint Paul Campus (room 140C) and Midway campus (room R) will be maintained. Look for updates to these rooms throughout spring semester. Students, staff and faculty will also have the ability to schedule room 140C and room R through Healthcare Services.
Those needing access to the lactation rooms are asked to register at www.metrostate.edu/healthcare.
