What is the role of university ombudsperson?

Posted March 6, 2019

Metropolitan State University continues to address and provide resources available to students.

Jo Woodward, director of Gateway Student Services, currently serves as the ombudsperson.

Woodward's responsibility as ombudsperson is to provide advocacy and support for students who may be engaged in the grade appeal or student complaint process. Students should consult the ombudsperson in the event they believe they were treated unfairly in the grading process. More information about the Academic Appeals Procedure, as well as an ombudsperson contact form, can be found on the University website here.
