These policies become effective immediately upon approval and shall remain in effect until revoked or revised.

Responsibility

The responsibility for the implementation of this policy is assigned to the Dean and faculty of the CNHS. Each student is responsible for knowing and adhering to the current student policies for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) and their specific program. These policies are published on the CNHS website. Students are notified by Metropolitan State email when policies are updated.

Petition for Exceptions to Policies

A student seeking an exception from a policy or requirement may do so through the CNHS petition process. Exception requests are considered on an individual basis considering the strength of the submitted evidence or rationale. Students should contact their advisor for information on the petition process.

Policy

The reinstatement policy is meant to provide information for students seeking reinstatement to a program in the CNHS. In order to be considered for reinstatement, students must request the reinstatement by the timelines established in the procedures. The policy of reinstatement is based on criteria to determine likelihood of success and space availability within the program.

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed every 2 years with admitted student policies.
