Note: This topics course is designed to include students from Japan's Nagasaki University and St. Paul's Metropolitan State University. The course emphasizes communication (understanding and being understood by others) by applying interpersonal and presentational skills within an intercultural classroom setting. This includes communication strategies and cultural awareness which are enhanced by intensive interaction between Nagasaki and Metro State students. Most of the coursework will be during the 2-week intensive classroom and field trip period with initial and final assignments due through D2L. Optional weekend field trips will be arranged inside and outside of the Twin Cities. Meeting dates: June 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22.
