Report of sexual exposure
A sexual exposure incident was reported to the campus Safety Officer on Feb. 15, 2017 at approximately 12:40 p.m. The incident was reported to have occurred in New Main lower level. The victim reported that a male approached her in a classroom and while lifting his arms, exposed himself. The suspect left after the incident and is described as a black male, age 20-30 years of age, medium build and about six feet tall. Anyone with any information is asked to call a Saint Paul Campus safety officer. The police were notified and will be working on the case. Campus safety officers will be conducting additional tours on campus for the respondent and monitoring security cameras.
Safety tips on protecting yourself
- Walk in well-lit areas and take direct routes to your destination.
- Pay attention to your surroundings, avoid use of cell phones when walking, and walk confidently and purposefully. Have your keys out and ready before heading to your vehicle.
- Call for escorts or walk with others.
- Be prepared to flee and/or draw attention to yourself if you feel in any danger.
If you notice any suspicious behaviors on campus, please notify Metropolitan State's safety staff and or dial 911.
