Report of attempted aggravated assault on MCTC Campus
A message from Minneapolis Community and Technical College:
The Public Safety Department would like to inform the Minneapolis College community of an attempted aggravated assault.
Incident location: exterior of Helland Center (1423 Harmon Place)
Date and time: June 26, 2018, between 12:05 and 12:15 p.m.
Primary offenses: aggravated assault-attempted
Minneapolis College Public Safety was notified by witnesses and the victim of an individual who was yelling profanities. Upon being asked by the victim if he needed assistance or help, the individual pulled out a U-lock and threatened the victim with bodily harm. The victim and witnesses reported the individual was swinging the U-lock in an attempt to strike the victim. The individual then left the campus. The victim was unharmed.
