The Metropolitan State University library's second floor houses most of the library's physical collections of books, DVDs, and curricular materials. There are also carrels with computers for student use. At the far end of the second floor is a large quiet study area. The second floor also houses the Center for Faculty Development space and the University Archives.
Both floors have private study rooms which may be checked out.
There are lounges with fireplaces on both floors. The upstairs lounge is a reading room with current magazines and newspapers, and the downstairs lounge has large tables and TV monitors for playing video games. The downstairs lounge can also be reserved for various functions.
