Metropolitan State University invites the community to celebrate their love of poetry, prose and the arts at the Haute Dish's 5th Annual Spring Reading. Authors of the work published in the Haute Dish, the university's arts and literature magazine, will share their work with an audience at Open Book. A reading is a wonderful opportunity for writers to share their words with the world on a personal level. It always creates a special magic. Here's your chance!
Open Book (home of the The Loft Literary Center, Milkweed Editions and Minnesota Center for Book Arts) is a nonprofit organization located in Minneapolis and one of the largest literary centers in the U.S. According to Open Book, since its opening in 2000, it has remained "dedicated to fostering a vibrant book community and ongoing artistic collaboration, and providing a home for the literary arts."
Refreshments will be provided, and the lobby café will be available for refreshments as well. For more information about the spring reading, visit Haute Dish's website. For more information about the venue, check out Open Book's website.
