This year's Brain Awareness Week is March 12 through 16. According to the Society for Neuroscience, "The Brain Awareness Campaign is a worldwide celebration of the brain that brings together scientists, families, schools and communities." To celebrate this week, Metropolitan State University's Psychology Club and T.H.E.M. will provide free brain-health information at the Student Center and daily tips for a safe and strong brain on Facebook.

Additionally, guest speaker Dr. Cynthia Harley will present on March 14. Harley is an assistant professor in the Department of Natural Sciences at Metropolitan State. She has a BS and a PhD in biology from Case Western Reserve University. She explains, " I am honing my skills at neurophysiology and am examining the neuroanatomy underlying the mysterious eyes of leeches."

The event will feature a free lunch from Kowalskis. The first 20 attendees will receive a $5 Amazon gift card. For more information, or to RSVP, check out the Psychology Club's OrgSync page.
