The Chronicle of Higher Education is the academic world's No. 1 source of news and information. The Chronicle is published weekly and read by more than 400,000 college and university administrators and faculty members. Some articles can be read free at the website, but daily updates and full access are available only to paid subscribers of the Chronicle of Higher Education (print).
The IDEA Paper series, begun in 1979, cover the general areas of teaching and learning, faculty evaluation, curriculum design, and assessment. Scholars and practitioner in higher education advance teaching excellence in their writing on many teaching and learning topics, such as promoting deep learning, getting students to read, motivating students, teaching adult students and more. The articles are concise, not laden with jargon or technical terms, and usually, offer practical takeaways. Many of the following papers can be viewed by simply clicking on the title.
