Dear colleagues:

Thank you for your service to the university throughout this year. I am encouraged by the visible difference our shared commitment to Metropolitan State makes to our students. This year, as in years past, I invite you to join me in making a financial gift to complement your work teaching and supporting students at Metropolitan State.
Our “Give to the Max Day 2017” effort is focused on three priorities:

  • The Student Success Fund: Students who are nearing completion of their degrees, but have exhausted their financial aid options, will benefit from these awards. Gifts to this fund will prevent students from stopping out for economic reasons. Your gift can make a more significant difference this year, because some of our colleagues have stepped up to match the first $1,500 given to the Student Success Fund.
  • The Holiday Giving Program Fund: A holiday tradition at Metropolitan State, the Holiday Giving Program allows faculty and staff the opportunity make our students’ families’ lives a little brighter in December.
  • The Metro Fund: Gifts to the Metro Fund allow the university to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. These unrestricted gifts plant the seeds for future success.

Early giving on the GiveMN website began on Nov. 1, 2017, and will continue through Nov. 16, 2017. (Make your gift at the GiveMN website. ) You may also choose to make your “Give to the Max Day 2017” gift on the Metropolitan State University website on Nov. 16.

Thank you for considering a gift of financial support to Metropolitan State. I am deeply grateful for your service and your generosity.

With best holiday wishes,

President Virginia "Ginny" Arthur, JD
