My name is Darek Prochaska, I graduated with a Management Information Systems degree. My favorite memory was receiving my degree with my sons cheering me on. I hope to have instilled in them the importance of higher education.

The high quality facilities. Metropolitan State has excellent space for lectures and studying.
- How did Metropolitan State University help you prepare for your career?
In addition to rounding out my technical skillset, my education at Metropolitan State has given me the confidence to take my career to the next level in leadership roles. My best learning moment was in Management 499. The instructor (Peter Miller) really helped me grow the most by sharing his wealth of leadership, knowledge and experience; he helped to raise the bar on expectations and quality of results.
- What did you like best about your program?
I really value the variety and quality of people at Metropolitan State, from instructors to classmates to special guest speakers. All of them influenced me and helped grow my professional network.
- What are you doing now? (Explain activities in a typical day)
Each week I get to facilitate a large meeting with 50-plus IT managers, engineers and business leaders.
- How has getting a degree changed your life?
Now that I have my degree, I am much more organized in my life. I have a larger capacity for strategic thinking, both professionally and personally.
