Major job duties
The Computer Science Course Aide will play a crucial role in contributing to the effective functioning of introductory ICS courses.
- Classroom support:
- Embed with ICS-140 and/or 141 evening classes to assist professor, engage with and help students during class time.
- Tutoring:
- Facilitate study groups outside of class.
- Grading and Feedback:
- Evaluating student work while providing constructive feedback to students and instructor.
- Course effectiveness:
- Working with professor to improve class design and content.
Qualifications and experience
- Enrolled as a graduate student in computer science program.
- Proficient student with good academic record.
- Solid interpersonal/small group communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Python and Java languages.
