What You Need To Know

Metropolitan State University and Saint Paul Public Schools have partnered to form a cohort for licensed teachers to pursue their Pre-K endorsement starting in Spring 2018. This endorsement program is composed of 11 credits. Two of the courses pertain to Early Childhood Studies (housed in the Psychology Department) and the remaining three courses are housed in the Urban Education Department. This program is designed to help prepare teachers to work with young children in urban schools. This program is considered a Non-Degree Seeking program, which means participating students will not be eligible for federal financial aid.

How to Apply

  1. Apply for Undergraduate Admission

    Complete the admissions application online.

  2. Register for Classes

    Courses for this program will not be published publically. All students participating in this program will be registered for their courses automatically by Metro State.

  3. Arrange for Payment

    Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid. Tuition payment must be arranged the same day as registration.

  4. Once Accepted, Learn About Student Services

    After you receive your letter of admission (typically within a week of application) Gateway Student Services is your contact for services offered to students.
