Six Metropolitan State University staff have been nominated for the Minnesota State Board of Trustees Professional Excellence in Service Award. This award recognizes the key role that MSUAASF service faculty play in providing outstanding service to state universities and to the Minnesota State system.
TRiO Student Support Services volunteers to fight hunger
Fourteen students and two advisors with Metropolitan State University’s TRiO Student Support Services recently volunteered with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Eagan. For two hours on March 9, the TRIO students and other volunteers put together 112 boxes with 24,192 meals.
Student selected for Guadalajara International Film Festival
Autumn Kisling, a fourth-year screenwriting student in the College of Liberal Arts at Metropolitan State University, has been selected to participate as a panel member of the Mezcal Jury at the 2017 Guadalajara International Film Festival in Guadalajara, Mexico, March 10-17.

Gov. Mark Dayton announced the appointment of the Honorable George W. Soule to fill a vacancy on the Minnesota State Board of Trustees. Soule is replacing Margaret Anderson Kelliher, and his term will expire on June 30, 2018.
Haute Dish releases special Fall/Spring issue
Metropolitan State University's student operated arts and literary magazine, Haute Dish, released a special Fall 2016/Spring 2017 issue this month. The magazine, which showcases the literary and artistic talent of Metropolitan State students, is available on magazine racks throughout all campuses.
