DBA 745 Operations Management

In this course, students critically examine foundational and current research in supply chain and operations management, with special attention to rigor, relevance, theoretical foundations, and management practice.

General

  • Understand the domain and scope of the disciplines of supply chain and operations management. Identify multiple sub-domains within the discipline, including supply chain management, quality management, process management, production management, and services management.
  • Review samples of current and foundational research in supply chain and operations management.
  • Assess supply chain and operations management research for quality of research design and practical importance of research outcomes.
  • Identify potential research topics in operations management and supply chain management, along with feasibility of the research and appropriate research methods.
