NURS 4040 Essential Concepts of Pharmacology II
This course builds on the pharmacologic concepts presented in NURS 306. Emphasis is on the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in the pharmacologic management of select illnesses and/or disease processes in the adult population.

- Differentiate major classifications and actions of select drugs and/or complementary/alternative products used in health promotion, disease prevention, and/or diseases treatment.
- Examine the nursing implications for administration, monitoring, and patient education for select drug categories.
- Distinguish between the regulation of herbal products and pharmaceuticals.
