NURS 6100 Pathophysiology for Advanced Nursing Practice
This course focuses on advanced concepts of physiologic and pathophysiologic mechanisms which cause alterations in biological processes and affect homeostasis. The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and treatment options of specific diseases and conditions will be examined.

- Compare and contrast normal physiologic processes and pathophysiologic processes across the lifespan.
- Analyze the underlying etiology of select disease processes.
- Examine the effects of chronic stress on normal body function.

- Predict the system specific clinical manifestations that result when the body is not able to maintain homeostasis.
