SOWK 583 Analysis Application of Social Work Knowledge and Skills

Social workers review in a structured supportive environment the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe level of practice in accord with the Minnesota State Board of Social Work requirements for B.S.W. level licensure. Prerequisite: B.S.W. degree or senior status in social work major.

  • Students will fully understand what needs to be done to successfully complete the licensing process.
  • Students will gain an understanding of the parameters of the Social Work Licensure process.
  • Students will gain understanding of the cultural barriers of the licensing process.
  • Students will understand cultural dimensions of the licensing/testing process.
