Join us for an interactive conversation with Metro State Provost Amy Gort. The Lunch and Learn series organizers will interview Provost Gort about her career path, Metro’s future and other leadership topics. Attendees will also have time to ask questions.

Bio

Dr. Amy Strohmeier Gort is Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Metro State University, where she provides leadership across the university’s academic programs and infrastructure, academic advising, and community engagement. She has built a career in higher education as a faculty member, administrator, and academic leader, including previous leadership roles at Augsburg University and Concordia University, Saint Paul.

Dr. Gort holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her work reflects a strong commitment to student success, community engagement, and expanding educational opportunities for Metro State students.

Lunch and Learn is part of an ongoing monthly series of presentations and discussions hosted by the College of Business and Management. This conversation is open to all educators, administrators, instructional designers, and students of Minnesota State Education System.

Meet new faculty, gather with long-time friends from across Minnesota State, and bring your questions and ideas to these monthly gatherings, which will include a presentation and possibly opportunities for both large and small group discussions.
