Metro State Theater will hold open auditions for a new stage production of George Orwell's classic satire Animal Farm, directed by Teresa Mock. Auditions are open to Metro faculty, staff, students, and alumni. No prior acting experience is necessary.
Audition Dates: September 1 and 2, 6:30 p.m. / Callbacks: September 3
Location: The Whitney Fine Arts Theater, 1424 Yale Place, Minneapolis
All audition materials will be provided on-site, and perusal scripts are available in advance for those who would like to read it in advance, which is encouraged. Metro State Theater welcomes performers of all backgrounds and experience levels to join the production.
Animal Farm is George Orwell's enduring allegorical tale of a group of farm animals who rise up against their human owner, only to find their revolution reshaped by new and unexpected hierarchies of power. Metro State Theater's production promises a bold, timely take on Orwell's timeless story.
