On May 28, Northdale Middle School students visited the Metro State Cyber Clinic for an engaging introduction to cybersecurity and digital safety as part of Metro State University’s cybersecurity community outreach efforts. For many of the students, this was their first exposure to the field of cybersecurity. During the visit, students learned about online safety, password protection, cyber hygiene, phishing awareness, and how cybersecurity professionals help protect individuals and organizations from digital threats.
The visit included hands-on activities, interactive discussions, and demonstrations designed to introduce middle school students to cybersecurity in an accessible and age-appropriate way. Through outreach programs like this, the Metro State Cyber Clinic continues to strengthen community engagement, promote cybersecurity awareness among K–12 students, and inspire the next generation of technology and cybersecurity professionals.
