Andre Anderson

Biography

Andre Anderson serves as the academic and co‑curricular coordinator in the College of Individualized Studies at Metro State University. Anderson brings a deep commitment to student success, mission‑driven leadership, and collaborative academic innovation.

Anderson’s work centers on strengthening individualized learning pathways and expanding co‑curricular opportunities that help students connect their education to purpose. He partners with faculty, staff, and community organizations to build programs that support working adults, first‑generation learners, and students navigating complex life responsibilities.

Before joining CIS, Anderson held several roles across Metro State, including reporter for The Metropolitan, graduate assistant in the Office of Equity and Inclusion, and president of the Metro State University Student Association. In each role, Anderson focused on elevating student voice, advancing equity, and building campuswide relationships that improve the student experience.

Anderson’s leadership is shaped by a strong belief in access, integrity, and community. He has contributed to policy development, donor stewardship, and statewide student advocacy, including work with Students United and Mile in My Shoes. His experience across academic, co‑curricular, and community‑based settings informs his holistic approach to supporting learners.

Anderson graduated from the College of Individualized Studies with a bachelor’s degree focused on organizational leadership. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in advocacy and political leadership (MAPL), where he continues to deepen his commitment to public service, equity, and student‑centered policy work.
