Biography

Dr. Leiste joined Metropolitan State University in 2021 as the director of Student-Directed Learning. She holds a BS in education from the University of Minnesota, an MS in adult education from Florida State University, and a PhD with a specialization in instructional design for online learning from Capella University. Her dissertation was on preventing plagiarism in online learning. Her professional background is in prior learning assessment, including student advising, innovative program development, and academic standards.
