ECON 201: Macroeconomics and ECON 202: Microeconomics waiver exams

Waiver examinations: ECON 201 and ECON 202

Study materials:

Students may wish to review the material to help decide whether to try either of these waiver exams.

  • ECON 201 - Macroeconomics: Principles and Policy

  • ECON 202 - Economics: Principles and Policy

Location:

Metro State Library and Learning Center 2nd Floor Circulation Desk, Saint Paul campus.

Exam information:

  • Each exam is 2 ½ hours long. Additional time will not be given.

  • One hundred (100) multiple choice questions are on each exam.

Emphasis of the exams is on the concepts and tools of macroeconomics and microeconomics.

They assess whether or not students understand basic principles and can apply them at the introductory level.

Passing the exam

A minimum score of 70% is required. No credit is earned.

Not passing the exam

  • May not register the independent study version of the course

  • Must register for either the classroom or online versions of the course
