Proserva Goal 7 and Goal 8 Partnership Program

Are you completing the Goal 7 or Goal 8 Certificate with Proserva? Good work! Good news! You can earn university credit at Metro State!

Through the Proseva-Metro State University partnership, students who complete the Goal 7 or Goal 8 Certificate can apply as Visiting Students at the university, and be awarded three credits of university-level work for each certificate. These credits meet goal 7 or 8 of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum. The credit is approved by faculty who review the coursework and assignments for the courses.

Here’s how it works

  1. Complete the Goal 7 or Goal 8 Certificate program and earn your Certificate of Completion.
  2. Apply to Metro State as a Visiting Student (the application is free).
  3. Three credits—reviewed and approved by university faculty—appear on your official Metro State transcript. No tuition. No fees.
  4. Request a student or official transcript copy at any time.
  5. Explore the Bachelor’s degree majors and programs that are available at Metro State. Explore Metro State for a bachelor’s degree and learn how to apply.

A few things to know before you apply

  • The Visiting Student application is available solely to record credits earned through this partnership. It does not enroll you in a degree program.
  • To apply those credits toward a Metro State degree, you must apply as a degree-seeking student.
  • Credits awarded through this partnership do not count toward Metro State’s residency requirement.

If you later transfer to another institution, that school decides whether to accept these credits. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

This partnership Is approved for three years (through summer 2029). It will be reviewed at that time.
