The Metro State Library and Learning Center invites you to the 70/70 Annual Poetry Reading. Poets will be reading work created during a “70 poems in 70 days” challenge, where Metro State students, faculty, staff, and alumni agreed to write one poem each day for the first 70 days of the year. Participants had the opportunity to explore poetry, build a daily writing habit, and connect with fellow writers. Come hear their impromptu poems and works in progress, and celebrate their completion of the challenge!
Poets:
Hamud Abdiqadir, James Estwick, Michelle Filkins, Devyn Fussman, Linda Glasser, Adam Glatzl, Hassani Harris, Wendy Hesley, Constance Klippen, Jean Loyd, Fatumo Mohamed, Kisha Neely, Suzanne Nielsen, Kit Nor, Mandy Okonek, Michael Vang, Dodi Vessels
In addition to highlighting the efforts of the 70/70 participants, this event is being held during National Poetry Month, an annual celebration of the importance of poetry in our culture and lives.
