2019–2020 was a year we could not have anticipated.
Alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university came together to give more than $1.8 million to support Metro State students and programs during the pandemic and uprising for social justice.
In the 2018-2019 school year donor’s support enabled Metro State to launch new programs responsive to students’ interests and that met the needs of our state’s economy.
In 2017-2018, Metro State launched MN Cyber, in partnership with 30 organizations across the country, to help fill the talent shortage in cyber security fields.

Donors like you have helped grow the number of scholarships awarded to students. Over the past three years, the Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to over 800 students. Sixty percent of these student awardees have been Black, Indigenous, or People of Color.
