A lilac background with illustrated flowers. Read and Rest: Celebrating Black Authors, artists and the act of self care

In honor of National Book Month, Black Girl Day Off, and Emotional Wellness Month, join the Multicultural, American Indian, and Retention Services (MAIR) team for an afternoon of celebrating Black authors, artists, and the act of self-care.

Enjoy crafts, self-care resources, giveaways, food, a Zine workshop, and more!

For those new to Zines, be sure to stop in at 2 p.m. for an introduction and overview!

Starting at 4 p.m., students will have the opportunity to share what they have created, or to share their personal writing. If you're a Metro State student interested in sharing your writing, please complete the submission form here!

Need self-care resource recommendations? Check out the Library and Learning Center's online guide.
