Carter Albrecht ’21 graduated from Metro State University with a degree in history. He has extensive coaching experience and currently serves as Director of Player Development for St. Croix Legends, a local semipro soccer team, and as Head Coach for Minneapolis United U19 Boys in the MLS NEXT league.

Previously, he served as Technical Director at Lakeville SC, a staff coach at St. Paul Blackhawks, and Head Coach of Vlora FC in the UPSL (semipro league). He was also the Varsity Boys Head Coach at Cretin-Derham Hall High School from 2021-2023, setting a school record for wins in a single season in 2022. Carter has an impressive coaching track record, with five UPSL regular-season and postseason titles and four State Cup titles.

Kat Barnett ’25 (she/her/hers) graduated from Metro State with a degree in Studio Arts. She is an interdisciplinary artist, jeweler, and metalsmith with over 25 years of professional experience. Currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), she blends printmaking, paper making, sculpture, metalwork, and film in her diverse practice. Kat has exhibited throughout the United States and maintains a creative studio in Osseo, Minnesota. Deeply engaged in her local arts community, she also serves as the Gallery Director at the Robbin Gallery in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.

Leah Her (Leah Nguyet Lig Wang Her) is a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) student at Metro State University, where she also earned her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, an Applied Linguistics certificate, and two additional professional certificates. She currently works as a Data Labeling Analyst at Meta and serves as a TRIO Upward Bound summer Vietnamese teacher, with previous experience as a Vietnamese and Hmong interpreter.

An 18-year Saint Paul resident and mother of three, Leah is of Vietnamese, Hmong, and Chinese heritage. She volunteered as an ESL teacher with CLUES (Latino Communities United in Service) for 2.5 years and currently mentors Hmong women overseas through Seeds4Hope. She enjoys learning about technology and AI tools, teaching, mentoring, and spending time with her family.

Alexis Kise ’22 is a parent, public affairs professional, and equity-focused legislative strategist with a strong background in government operations, legislative processes, and systems reform. She holds a Master of Arts in Advocacy and Political Leadership from Metro State University, where she specialized in Public Policy Evaluation, Ethics, and Political Leadership, and was a finalist for the Outstanding Student nomination. Alexis also graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, emphasizing Diversity and Social Justice and Policy Analysis.

With experience in campaign finance leadership and as legislative staff during the 2024 session, Alexis has collaborated with state leadership to manage agendas, conduct policy research, and foster stakeholder engagement to address systemic inequities. As a mother of two neurodivergent children, her lived experiences inform her compassionate, outcomes-driven approach to advancing equity and justice. Alexis remains dedicated to creating innovative public policy solutions and equitable systems while building meaningful relationships across sectors to drive impactful change.
