Biography

Thanaa Ghanem is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity at Metropolitan State University. Ghanem joined Metropolitan State University as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2014. Prior to joining Metropolitan State, from January 2009 to August 2013, Ghanem was an adjunct faculty in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul.

Ghanem spent one year (Fall 2013 and Spring 2014) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia and one year (Fall 2017 and Spring 2018) as a Scientist at Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) in Doha, Qatar.

Ghanem holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Alexandria University in Egypt and PhD degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.
